MEET THE DIRECTORS | DARREN BROWN 👋
Meet Darren, Co-Director of Parkway Developments Ltd.
Darren’s career in construction started straight from school, when he went to work alongside his father in Artex and coving — which was very much in fashion back then! 😂
He later progressed into plastering and fitting decorative plaster mouldings, all under the strict eye of his dad.
Those early years shaped much more than Darren’s trade. His father set extremely high standards and taught him from a young age that if you want something in life, you have to work hard for it. That work ethic and attention to detail have stuck with Darren ever since and are still reflected in the standards he expects today at Parkway.
These days, Darren has swapped the plastering tools for a slightly different role. He oversees much of the accounts, payroll and financial side of Parkway, alongside playing an important part in the day-to-day management and continued growth of the business.
Away from work, Darren is a devoted dad and family man, spending pretty much all of his free time with his family.
Darren and Henley are also close friends outside of Parkway, and the two families regularly spend time together — apparently working together all week still isn’t enough. 😂
He’s also a hardcore Manchester City fan and likes to think he can play darts.
Those of us who know him would probably describe his ability as average at best. 🎯🤣
From learning his trade alongside his dad to helping build Parkway into the business it is today, those same values have stayed with him:
Work hard. Set high standards. Look after your family.
And occasionally hit a treble 20. 🎯😂
