DIVE IN // This project is all about bringing a family of 6 into their home and, funnily enough, making sure the pieces are ready to move out, in the near future. Lots of practical pieces have been selected with the family's personality in mind. Flexible, practical and matching their style!
for fun family homes

PLACE // looking at many inspiring pieces that I love so much, I have saved them all for a later date. What I see is colour. Hot pinks rich blues. Skin tones. Light. People. Mostly women and children. Posed and everyday. Landscapes but more the sky. Some architecture but always colour. That is the place I explore through my art. PS. One of my favourite artists is Flo Lee - Portrait Artist who uses amazing colour to show every day feelings in the children are - they are featured many times in my squirrelled away inspiration. She is incredible at using the under painting and background colours as a start point then adding highlights and colour to bring shape to life. Thank you for your magic!

LOCATION // I had a great site visit yesterday to this incredible project. I met the neighbours, furry, winged and otherwise. The context means so much to inform great design. If you listen, the space tells you what it needs.

SOMETIMES // I just want to, need to draw. I honestly wish I was back in the days when Artist is could create for hours on end – probably drinking probably smoking - supported by a patron to unload financial burdens - allowing an artist to be them best version of themselves. The true part of what they’re meant to give to this world, always being free What do you want to be doing right now that feels more aligned to what you have inside you to offer the world?
