What a busy summer - not much posting from me recently as I have been really busy and it’s been the 6 week madness that is school summer holidays! Here’s a very small snippet of some of jobs completed this summer…

1. Another shower reseal (one of my most requested jobs)
2. A splashback retile (green tiles are so popular at the moment)
3. Loft insulation (in a heatwave)
4. More toilet seat replacements (another super popular request)
5. Another Ideal Standard flush valve seal replacement (so common I keep them on the van)
6. A radiator removal for a landlord to change an appliance in the cupboard next to it.

Shower refresh. Whilst on another job for a lovely customer they asked if there was anything that could be done to sort out their mouldy shower sealant. They were surprised when I said it’s something that I get asked to do quite a lot!
Old silicone scraped out (not that it took much…. Not enough in there in the first place) and a nice uniform bead reapplied and neatly smoothed off, making this shower easier to clean and leak free for years to come 🚿👌.

Taps ‘n’ toilets…. Been a busy month and all sorts of jobs going on. Nice to be able to get to some smaller plumbing jobs in between the bigger decorating and tiling jobs. Some taps changed and some leaky cisterns sorted 👌. Some leaky taps swapped, an old mixer tap swapped for a new quarter turn mixer and a flush valve seal replaced.

A recent bathroom refresh.

This stunning new build in Topsham had a lot going for it…. Air source heat pump, oak internal doors, luxury fittings and finishings… BUT - only a half tiled shower and bath in the main bathroom 🤯. Trims removed and tiles, grout and trim matched to continue the tiles to the ceiling before adding a matching riser bar and shower screen.

The customer wanted it to look like the bathroom had always been that way and were super pleased with the result!

A busy week straight back to it after a short break. First job this week was tiling this utility area…. A stunning tile and grout choice by this customer has set this room off beautifully. A fully removable boiler service box means the finish continues round the room while keeping maintenance easy.

Another painting and decorating job. And this one turned into a bit of a labour of love….. 120+ year old building, 4m high ceilings (and a change from silk to matt) and lots of tired woodwork to gloss…. All to get finished before holiday 🙈. A stone cold classic colour combo…. Egyptian cotton in silk on the walls, with matt white ceilings and pure brilliant white gloss on the wood. A challenging job, but a beautiful property to work in (plus we love a pet on the job 🐈‍⬛)
