“I’ll do it later”
“I don’t have time right now”
Is a cop out.
“Later” is already sounding horrible. Who wants to get to “later”? Lots to do “later”.
Present is better. It’s calmer with just a little bit to do right now. I Chip away at chores rather than hours of potential boring jobs later.
It takes me 20 seconds to hang up my towel or quickly wash my mug up. Rather than having to carve out 20mins to do a big wash up or tidy my room.
As the saying goes “ Chaos is a choice”.
And what I say is “put away, not on display”.
I was so proud yesterday because I asked my husband to fetch something of mine upstairs before he came down. I heard him go directly to where it lived! This how giving things a home, in a logical place helps future you.
So, find their forever homes and put things back in their forever homes straight away.
Laundry.
Personal items.
Family items and more.
You’ll thank yourself later.
