An evening at Orwell Farm - Great food, inspiring design and even better company.

We recently welcomed guests to our new Orwell Farm Studio at Loch Leven for an incredible evening celebrating the next chapter of Kitchens International.

From catching up with familiar faces and making new connections to hearing from our team and watching MasterChef finalist in action, it was a wonderful opportunity to bring people together around a shared appreciation for food, design and a passion for creating extraordinary spaces.

With Sarah’s cookery demonstration taking centre stage around a bespoke island featuring the show-stopping Gaggenau invisible Essential Induction hob, the evening was a fitting introduction to a studio designed to inspire, create connections and bring great ideas to life.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make the evening so special.

Introducing Kitchens International at Orwell Farm. A new setting for KI and a new space to explore extraordinary design.

Located at the beautifully regenerated Orwell Farm on the shores of Loch Leven, our appointment-only design studio offers a more personal, relaxed and immersive way to experience KI.

Bringing together progressive design, innovative materials, a bespoke island featuring Gaggenau’s invisible Essential Induction hob, the studio has been designed to inspire new ideas and create a more personal connection with the design process.

To celebrate, we recently welcomed guests for a special evening with MasterChef finalist Sarah Rankin, who brought the studio to life with an inspiring cookery demonstration.

Set within a growing community of creative and design-led businesses, Orwell Farm represents an exciting chapter for Kitchens International as we continue to grow independently and expand our presence across Scotland.

VERO NOVA has been designed to work beyond the conventional kitchen. It can be used as a statement within a run of cabinetry, paired with Leicht’s existing VERO glass display cabinets, or extended beyond the kitchen to bring the same material language into dining and living spaces.

Oak, walnut, glass and light can be individually combined within a single design, while the continuous vertical slat structure creates a seamless visual connection across multiple units.

Available across floor, wall, top and tall units, VERO NOVA allows display storage to become an integral part of the architecture, creating a sense of continuity between the kitchen, dining and living spaces.

Designed to be seen in a different light. VERO NOVA isn't simply about what is behind the glass. It is about what happens between the glass, the timber and the light.

Integrated lighting illuminates the display cabinet from within, tracing the vertical oak or walnut slats and creating an ever-changing interplay of light and shadow.

When multiple cabinets are brought together, the slatted structure continues with almost no visible interruption, creating a calm, continuous architectural surface.
Handleless by design and precise in every detail.

Introducing VERO NOVA by Leicht. Where the fine transparency of darkened Clear glass meets the warmth and texture of real wood.

Available in light oak or dark walnut, VERO NOVA brings finely arranged vertical timber slats to the VERO display cabinet, creating a distinctive balance of transparency, warmth and structure.

The result is something more than a display cabinet. It is a carefully considered architectural element that can bring depth and character to any kitchen, dining area or living space.

What a lovely afternoon at Orwell Farm!

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for our Meet the Neighbours event. It was a pleasure to welcome so many new faces into our design studio, share our space and spend time getting to know our neighbours.

From great conversations and delicious canapés from Loch Leven's Larder to exploring our new design studio, it was a wonderful afternoon filled with good company and community.

We’re excited for everything to come at Orwell Farm and look forward to welcoming you back soon.

Within the run of dark oak cabinetry, Leicht's illuminated Vero glazed units introduce something a little different. Glassware on display, a softer layer of light and a break from the solid timber. It brings a more relaxed, personal feel to the kitchen, particularly in the evening when the illumination adds a warm glow to the room.

The same attention to detail carries through to the gold Quooker tap, which adds a subtle contrast against the Sensa granite, while the BORA hob and Siemens appliances are integrated into the furniture.

Nothing feels out of place. The materials, finishes and appliances all work together to create a cohesive scheme, with the smaller details adding character along the way.

The kind of details you might not notice straight away, but come to appreciate every day.

The island is where this kitchen really comes together. It is the first thing you notice when you enter the room, but its size is about more than making an impression.

The generous island provides space for preparation, incorporates the BORA hob and creates seating for family and guests. It works for breakfast before the school run, a quick coffee and a glass of w**e while dinner is being prepared. And when friends come round, it becomes the natural place to gather.

The layout gives the kitchen clear working zones, while keeping the room open and connected to the beautiful townhouse beyond.

Set within a beautifully restored Edinburgh townhouse, this project called for a kitchen that could work just as well for family life as it does for entertaining.

With its impressive ceiling heights, original features and generous proportions, the space had plenty to work with. The challenge was bringing in a contemporary kitchen without losing what made the room special.

The answer was rich, textured oak cabinetry in a deep Chocolate finish, paired with beautiful Sensa granite worktops and splashbacks. The warmth and depth of the timber bring a sense of intimacy to the generous room, while the lighter stone and surrounding interiors create contrast, balance and a feeling of openness. Together, the materials give the kitchen a distinctive character that complements the townhouse's original features.

Full-height furniture makes the most of the ceiling height, while a substantial central island brings cooking, preparation and seating together at the heart of the room. The result is a kitchen that feels at home in its surroundings, while giving this family a space to cook, gather and entertain.

We’re incredibly proud to share that our talented designer, Dionne Robertson, has been shortlisted at the Designerati Awards 2026 in the Kitchen Designer of the Year – Over £40k category.

The Designerati Awards celebrate the very best in luxury kitchen and bathroom design, recognising the designers, brands and projects pushing creativity, innovation and design forward.

Dionne’s shortlisted project is a beautifully reimagined Edinburgh maisonette, featuring a stunning Leicht kitchen, Dekton Taga worktops and a standout bespoke curved breakfast bar - creating an intimate and sociable dining space within a compact footprint. It’s a brilliant example of thoughtful design and intelligent special planning work together to create a home that works beautifully for the family and the way they live.

The winner will be announced at the Designerati Awards ceremony later this year. We’ll be keeping everything crossed for Dionne!
