We learned about the difference between our native and non-native invasive ladybirds: the Harelquin (harmonia axyridis-none native and a bit of threat to our own lovely ladybirds - outcompete for food and eat the eggs of our native ladybirds)

We found a striking shimmering Shield bug too!

Great nature detectoring!!!!

Support groups with schools

🍂🕷️ A week of learning, creating and exploring in the woods! From bug and leaf identification to our older groups measuring and sawing their very own bat boxes, we’ve been busy developing new skills. We’ve also been getting Halloween-ready, gathering natural resources to create a giant spider! 🦇🎃 Finished off with cheese toasties, popcorn and lots of outdoor fun! 🔥🌿

🌿🔥 Mud, fire, food & Forest School fun! 🔥🌿

What a brilliant time we have had with all our School groups

From foraging and cooking up a feast with our home-grown veggies 🥕🌱 to team challenges clue solving and obstacle courses 💪🕵️

There’s been water runs, whittling, hammer and nails, plenty of problem-solving and lots of teamwork along the way.

Of course the best part 😋 hot chocolate, fajitas and chips cooked and enjoyed outdoors! ☕🌮🥔🔥
