🔥 THIS IS WHAT SETS TRUESTEP FLOORING APART FROM THE REST! 🔥

Without a doubt, our favourite staircase transformation to date! 😍

This isn’t your average flooring installation, and it’s certainly not a job every floor layer would be willing to take on!

We’ve completely transformed this staircase using beautiful engineered wood, and the level of precision, craftsmanship and attention to detail required to achieve this finish is something we’re incredibly proud of.

From individually cutting and fitting every tread and riser to tackling the more challenging details, every part of this staircase required patience, skill and experience.

We don’t just lay flooring. We take on the challenging jobs, push ourselves further and deliver finishes that truly stand out. 💪

And THAT is what separates TrueStep Flooring from the rest.

The finished result genuinely speaks for itself. This is the standard we strive for on every single project, no matter how straightforward or challenging.

🎥 WATCH UNTIL THE END — YOU DO NOT WANT TO MISS THIS TRANSFORMATION!

It’s not always about the fancy patterns… sometimes it’s about getting the basics absolutely spot on! 👌🏼

A little change from our recent herringbone projects!

This time we’ve completed a full upstairs flooring transformation, with fresh laminate throughout 3 bedrooms and the landing, finished off with a lovely new carpet on the stairs. 🏡

But this job wasn’t just about what you can see…

The existing staircase had badly split, noisy treads, so before any carpet went down, we plyboarded the stairs to create a much more solid, secure base for the new flooring.

Because at TrueStep Flooring, we believe what goes underneath is just as important as the finished result. 💪🏼

✅ 3 bedrooms fitted with laminate
✅ Landing fitted to match
✅ Staircase plyboarded and prepared
✅ Fresh carpet professionally fitted to the stairs

From subfloor preparation to the finishing touches, we take care of the whole job.

🏡 TWO COMPLETELY DIFFERENT STYLES… BUT WHICH ONE WOULD YOU HAVE IN YOUR HOME? 👀

Both of these floors were installed by us at TrueStep Flooring, and they show just how much difference the right flooring can make to a space.

🔥 OPTION 1: Herringbone with a detailed border — a real statement finish.

✨ OPTION 2: Straight-lay wood-effect flooring — clean, timeless and perfect for a modern home.

We all have different tastes, so we’re interested to see which one comes out on top!

👇 Comment 1 or 2 — which would you choose?

Not every floor fitter would take this one on… 👀🔥

Herringbone is one thing. Getting a detailed border to flow perfectly around every corner, doorway and awkward angle is another!

This project certainly kept us on our toes, especially the downstairs toilet, where every cut had to be carefully worked out to achieve the finish we wanted.

There’s a lot more to a floor like this than what you see at first glance. Hours of setting out, measuring, cutting and making sure everything lines up exactly as it should.

No shortcuts. No rushing the details. Just proper craftsmanship. 👌

Have a close look at the border work and let us know what you think! 👇

Sometimes the smallest details make the biggest difference 👌

We asked the customer how they wanted the border finished around the toilet… they said “I’ll leave it up to you.”

So instead of taking the easy option, we curved the border tile perfectly around the toilet — and I think it’s turned into one of the best features of the whole floor. 🔥

It’s details like this that separate a standard floor from a properly thought-out finish.

Would you have gone straight with the border, or curved it like this? 👇

Most herringbone problems start HERE… 👀

A perfect herringbone floor starts long before the first plank is stuck down.

📐 Setting out
📏 Finding the correct starting point
👌 Getting those first rows bang on

Get the setup wrong and the whole floor can run out. Get it right and the rest falls into place. 🔥

This is how we do it at TrueStep Flooring.
