A fresh look for this kitchen in Farncombe 💚

Swipe through the before and after pictures to see what a kitchen refurbishment can achieve.

For this project, we fitted:

✅ Richmond doors and drawer fronts in Pistachio
✅ Dark Hinton Oak 40mm laminate worktops with matching upstands
✅ A new stainless steel sink, retaining the existing tap
✅ Updated internal shelving and a new drawer beneath the oven
✅ Cornice, pelmet, plinths and finishing details
✅ Splashback tiling using the customer’s chosen tiles
✅ Warm white LED strip lighting

We also removed all the associated waste, leaving everything ready to enjoy.

At The Kitchen Refurbishment Company, we transform kitchens by making the most of what’s already there. Replacing doors, worktops and the details around them can make a huge difference without the upheaval of a complete kitchen replacement.

Less time. Less hassle. Less disruption. Less cost.

A personal approach, from the first conversation to the finishing touches.

Three things I love about our own kitchen refurbishment 💚

This time, I’m showing you around our own kitchen! We chose Richmond style doors in Kombucha Green, finished with copper handles and copper socket fronts.

Beyond the colour, these are three features I’m particularly pleased with:

🗑️ A full-height, two-compartment pull-out bin — keeps rubbish and recycling hidden away and easy to access.

👌 Internal storage drawers — make it easier to organise everything and reach what you need without digging through cupboards.

✨ A magic corner unit — brings those hard-to-reach items out from the back of the corner cupboard, making much better use of the space.

These are details we discuss with our customers too, because a refurbishment should make your kitchen work better as well as look beautiful.

Which of these would you choose for your kitchen? Let us know below 👇

Love your kitchen’s layout, but ready for a fresh look? 🏡✨

You may not need to start from scratch. If your existing units are in good condition, we can transform your kitchen with new doors, drawer fronts, panels and worktops—keeping what works and updating what doesn’t.

From classic shaker to sleek handleless styles, we’ll help you choose the colours, finishes and details that suit your home. Need better storage, extra units or a new sink and tap? We can help with those too.

Grey is no longer the automatic choice for every kitchen.

The 2026 UK Houzz Kitchen Trends Study found that blue is now the most popular cabinet colour among surveyed kitchen renovators, closely followed by green.

We’re also seeing these colours combined with:

• Natural wood textures
• Warm neutral shades
• Lightly veined quartz worktops
• Simple handleless or modern Shaker doors
• Softer, less clinical finishes

The trick is not simply choosing what is fashionable today. A successful combination should complement the room, suit the property and still feel right several years from now.

Which would you choose: blue, green or a warm neutral?
