A nippy 🥶 start today! Today I did a final stripy lawn cut of the season, cleared lots of autumn leaves from two gardens and planted some plants/bulbs in another front garden.

Weekly update - We are out gardening all this week and are fully booked. Nice to finally have an end to the rain, but chiller weather is on the way!

We have added some pictures of some of the gardening jobs done last week for some ideas.

🎊🎁 We are 8! 🎁🎊 Today we celebrate 8 years of Green & Tidy! Feels like only yesterday that James decided on a change of career to start making a living out of something he loves doing - gardening! We’ve had a great 8 years and here is the man behind all the hard work. Congratulations James, we are very proud of you and watch you go from strength to strength. Mrs G&T and the 2 mini gardeners in training 🌳💐

Gardening jobs for November…..

Yes, November is already upon us! Leaves are falling and winter is on its way! This brings with it certain jobs to do in the garden this month. Remember, if you would like any of these jobs done in particular, please let us know.

• Clear up fallen leaves particularly from lawns, driveways and beds.

• Plant tulip 🌷 bulbs ready for spring next year.

• Prune rose to prevent wind-rot.

• Plant out winter bedding plants.

• Lift dahlia tubers after the first frosts and store away.

• Cut back faded perennials and mulch.

• Prune autumn fruiting raspberries to the ground.

• Continue to mow lawns in mild spells if the grass is still growing.

• Start pruning apple and pear trees once dormant, to control their size and encourage fruiting.

Another very energetic 💪 day! Today I tidied a front and back garden for winter by trimming bushes, weeding the borders and edging. I also trimmed a large conifer hedge and weeded the border as well and another end of season stripy lawn mow.

We are off now till Monday for some rest and time with the family during half term. See you back in the gardens next week!

Another very energetic 💪 day! Today I trimmed numerous hedges and bushes, some stripy final cuts and some border tidying.

And the rain 🌧️ continues 😒! Today I tamed a wild privet hedge and reduced the height of trees/bushes at the front of a house.

Weekly update - We are only gardening from Monday to Wednesday due to half-term childcare commitments. We are fully booked. It was certainly a wet one last week, but hopefully drier now if not a bit nippy 🥶

Finally a dry day! This meant I could do my final lawn repair before winter sets in! I scarified, aerated, seeded and top-dressed a summer-damaged back lawn. Also, a final stripy lawn cut of the season and weeding/clearing leaves off a patio. Weather forecast again for tomorrow doesn’t look good! 😒!

Well at least the forecast was right today unlike yesterday! ☔️! Today I cut a very overgrown lawn, trimmed a conifer hedge and some wet, but stripy end-of-season lawn cuts.
