Quick question we get a lot 👇

"Why should I go with Pro Tile over a cheaper quote?"

Fair question. Here's Bryan's honest answer.

We'll never be the cheapest. We're not trying to be. Because the cheapest quote nearly always means one of three things 👇

❌ Cheaper materials that fail sooner
❌ Less time spent on prep — the bit that decides whether it lasts
❌ Corner-cutting on the finish — grout, silicone, edges

None of which you'd notice on day one. All of which you'll notice within a year or two. 😬

We use epoxy grout, spend the time to get the prep right, and don't leave until every detail is exactly how it should be.

That's why our customers recommend us. And it's why they don't call us back to fix it. 🙌

Bet you didn't know we did this. 👀

One of our favourite recent jobs. ➡️

The customer had a tired old boundary wall out the front of their property. Big crack running right through it. Bland, uninviting, and the first thing you saw pulling up to the house.

They asked if there was anything we could do.

So we clad the whole wall in stone-effect slips — and completely changed the front of the property. 😍

Here's what most people don't realise 👇

Every single slip goes on by hand. Cut, buttered, pressed, levelled. Then the pointing goes in between each one individually — the same way a real stone wall is built. ✅

It's slow, fussy work. You can't rush it. And on an outdoor wall it has to be weatherproofed properly to handle everything a Scottish winter throws at it.

Get it right and it looks like it's been there for 100 years. 🙌

It's rarely one big thing. It's the details.

Here's what we're fussy about on every job 👇
✅ Grout lines dead straight — top to bottom, side to side
✅ Cuts flush at every edge, no daft slivers in the corners
✅ Tiles set out so the pattern runs true across the whole room
✅ Every corner mitred or trimmed cleanly — no cheap fixes
✅ Silicone finished neatly, no gaps, no lumps

None of these are massive on their own. But together they're the difference between a job that looks brand new for 10 years and one that looks tired in 12 months. 🙌
