Moody weather today.

Been making these hangers that have evolved from my tattoo design tiles.

Thinking of new things for the imminent craft fayres.

The wee whale decorative hangers at 7 x7 cms

The long window hangers are 23 x 7cms

The larger pieces need three firings, some like mermaid have an extra lustre firing on her tail.

Really enjoyed being off on this current tangent.

They’re not on my website ( yet) but the wee ones will be £14.50 and the tall ones will be £45.00

Each piece is individually hand painted in Frits, enamels, black paint and lustres.

Stopped at Dingieshowe on the way to visit Dave & Debs.

Here’s my new Curlews panel on live edge wooden stand.

I painted the glass with enamels, black paint and silverstain. Lots of firings to get all the detail right.

Look at the fabulous view from D & D’s kitchen.

Good catch up and a beautiful sunny day.

Ventured down to Scapa Beach to take a pic of my new Oystercatcher deep Bowl.

Been working short days the last few weeks. Studio has hardly been open.
Slowly getting back to normal. Too slow for my liking but it is happening.

Good to get outside for a little longer.

This bowl is part of a new bird collection.

Curlews are en route to join the Craws, Oystercatchers & Blackbirds.

The bowl measures approximately 29 x29cms

It’s made using clear glass and kiln fired 5 times with black paint, frit, enamels and silverstain.

I was introduced to the wonderful and inspiring Toni Child on my first visit to The Incomer set.

Toni showed me Isla & Sandy’s home that she had dressed.

All the items in the house ( and the other sets) were sourced by Toni. Every angle resembling a still life painting.

The harbour warehouse stuffed full of objects for dressing Isla’s cabin and the amazing effigies made by the Art Department.

I was overwhelmed with the research and detail of Toni’s work to achieve the authentic atmosphere of the interiors.

What a fabulous and interesting job.

The last image is Ruth & visiting the set near the end of the shoot.
