🧱 DID YOU KNOW? NEW BRICKWORK DOESN’T ALWAYS MATCH STRAIGHT AWAY? 👀

Ever had a repair done and wondered why the new bricks or fresh mortar look slightly different from the existing wall?

There’s actually a simple reason…
Your existing brickwork has been exposed to years of rain, wind, sunlight and weathering 🌧️☀️💨 — while new bricks and mortar are, well… brand new!
That’s why a fresh repair can stand out at first. As time passes, the new work naturally weathers and can blend in much more with the surrounding brickwork.

🔨 Good brickwork isn't just about how it looks on day one — it's about carrying out the repair properly and building for the long term.
So next time you see a freshly repaired wall looking a little different, you’ll know why! 😉

DAMP PROBLEM? WE’VE GOT IT COVERED. 💧🔨

This dining room had a damp problem that needed more than just a quick cosmetic fix.
So, we stripped the affected area right back to the brickwork to properly expose what we were dealing with.

From there, we:
🔨 Took the existing render back to brickwork
💧 Applied a damp-proof slurry to provide an additional layer of protection
🧱 Restored the wall with new render
🏠 Plastered the area ready for the finishing touches.

Now it's ready for the joiner to come back in and reinstate the skirting and panelling, bringing the room back together.
It’s all about dealing with the problem properly, preparing the surface correctly and leaving it ready for the next stage. 👌

Another job one step closer to finished!
