It would be very convenient to blame  the catastrophic failure of this driveway stone faced retaining Bank on storm Austen or the extraordinarily dry summer we have had.

However as the bank is carefully deconstructed the real truth lies at the base of the bank with 6 to 7 foundation stones.

These photographs were taken before any of the foundation stones were removed and re-seated. It is hard to believe and comprehend how this Bank has stood for so long before finally giving away.

The reasons for a Bank or walls collapse is seldom known to the client but in this case, no explanation at all was needed.

Eviction notices without notice were also served on at least three toads, a handful of newts,  about 8 to 12 mice and two rats. 🐸🦎🐭🐀. 🤣

Let the work begin in ernest.
