🏠 Living Room Floor Upgrade

Another floor upgrade completed for a customer who wanted to keep the existing floorboards rather than replace them.

🔨 Step 1 — Floorboards & Insulation
We carefully lifted the existing floorboards and installed two layers of insulation to improve both thermal and sound insulation.

🪵 Step 2 — Securing the Existing Boards
The original floorboards were put back and securely fixed to reduce movement and make the floor more solid and stable.

🫧 Step 3 — Expanding Foam
As the customer wanted to keep the existing boards and avoid unnecessary replacement costs, we used expanding foam to close the existing gaps and holes in the floor.

📐 Step 4 — Plywood / MDF
We then covered the existing floor with plywood/MDF, securely fixing it with screws rather than nails to create a solid and stable surface.

✅ Ready for the Next Stage
The floor is now solid, insulated and ready for underlay and the final flooring to go on top.
