A very nice inlaid & marquetry work table came in this week with a few splits and missing pieces of veneer. The veneer is so thick compared to modern day veneer. Probably three times as thick.
Quite a complex piece of clamping involved in the early stages of repair.

Back with one of our favourites, a large rosewood dining room table which hasn’t been looked after at all over the years. Water marks, a darker central leaf and fatty oil stains galore. The fat stains are the hardest to remove. Very happy with the end result.
