Interior Architecture and Interior Decoration SIDIKA GRADUATED IN MANAGEMENT AT THE LONDON SCHOOL OF ECONOMICS.

LED BY ITS CREATIVE DIRECTOR, SIDIKA OWEN D'HAUTEVILLE, STUDIO SIDIKA CREATES LAYERED INTERIORS THAT PROVIDE A SENSE OF BELONGING. SIDIKA’S AIM IS TO BRING AUTHENTICITY TO EACH PROJECT, NOT ONLY IN THE SELECTION OF FURNITURE, LIGHTING AND ART BUT IN ITS USE OF A NATURAL PALETTE OF MATERIALS AND TEXTURES. UNSWAYED BY TRENDS, SIDIKA DRAWS ON HER LOVE OF COLOUR, CONTEMPORARY ART, MODERNIST FURNITURE, PHOTOGRAPHY AND HER LATEST DISCOVERIES TO DELIVER AN ECLECTIC RICHNESS TO EACH INTERIOR. SHE HAS A POST-GRADUATE DIPLOMA IN FINE ARTS FROM THE NEW YORK SCHOOL OF VISUAL ARTS AND STUDIED INTERIOR ARCHITECTURE AND DESIGN AT THE CHELSEA SCHOOL OF ART AND DESIGN. SHE IS REGISTERED MEMBER OF THE BRITISH INSTITUTE OF INTERIOR DESIGNERS (BIID).

We always ask our clients: what have you brought home that you love?⁠

For this project, the answer came in the form of a seashells gathered from the beaches of Malaysia, our client's home country, and carried back with great care. We placed them on windowsills around the apartment, where the light finds them at different hours of the day.⁠
⁠
It's one of our favourite things to do in a home: hide a small moment of joy somewhere unexpected. ⁠
⁠
A little like finding an Easter egg that nobody found at the time.⁠
