With my business based in South East London, I was delighted to discover that I appeared in a Google search for _bespoke banquette seating in Chiswick, West London!_ 🙌

It just goes to show that hard work and a healthy reputation really do go a long way. No sponsored ads needed!

My client provided the exact measurements for her banquette, along with her design inspiration, and I got straight to work. Once the seat pads were made, I delivered and fitted them myself.

It really can be that simple! ✨

The seat pads are made using high-quality Reflex foam and Warwick Ultra II faux leather in Optic — my go-to choice for luxury faux leather finish.

South London Serenity continued…

The Pantry.

Designed to serve what would become the new dining area, every element was considered, refined and chosen with purpose, from the practical decisions behind the scenes to the smaller details that make the finished space feel like home.

Behind the softly painted doors, there’s generous open shelving, integrated drawers and slim oak shelves built into the inside of the doors, making use of every inch of space.

And when the doors open, the pantry lights up, illuminating the warm oak interior and making everything easy to see and reach. It’s one of those details that’s both beautiful and genuinely useful — exactly what good kitchen design should be.

The result is a kitchen that feels calm, warm and timeless, while still working hard for a busy family.

A long-held dream, carefully brought to life.

South London Serenity continued…

My Design Doula Era!

Somewhere along the way, I became what we affectionately called a design doula.
Guiding, reassuring and offering honest advice through every stage of the renovation.
Because designing a kitchen isn’t just about choosing cupboards and worktops. It’s about navigating hundreds of decisions, weighing up options, managing expectations and helping clients feel confident in the choices they’re making.
Sometimes my role was to encourage the investment in something that really mattered. Sometimes it was to find a more economical alternative that still felt absolutely right.
And then there was the joy of seeing it all come together.
We also designed and handmade the bespoke bay window banquette in our South London studio — made to fit the space perfectly and upholstered in Linwood’s Painted Thorpe Linen in Lacquer. A lovely spot that brings softness, pattern and comfort into the heart of the kitchen.
A huge thank you to Joe and his very talented team at Joseph John & Co. for making the kitchen, with those gorgeous oak interiors adding so much warmth and character.

South London Serenity continued…

A Kitchen Designed Around a Dream

The client had been dreaming about her kitchen for years, so the starting point was always clear: how could we make that dream work beautifully in the space and within budget?

We gathered multiple quotes and carefully considered where to invest. Some features were simply non-negotiable, while other finishes offered opportunities to make thoughtful savings without compromising the overall design.
The result is a kitchen that feels considered rather than overworked. Warm, practical and full of character, with beautiful oak interiors bringing a lovely sense of depth and craftsmanship.

For me, good interior design isn’t about spending the most. It’s about making the right decisions for the people who live there.
And bringing those decisions to life takes a talented team. Huge credit to Joe and his team at Joseph John & Co. for their care and craftsmanship in building this kitchen.

South London Serenity

I was originally going to call this project South London Serendipity.

It felt like a home filled with beautiful discoveries, carefully chosen pieces coming together to create a space full of character and joy…

But the more I reflected on the project, the more I realised serendipity wasn’t quite the right word. Serendipity suggests happy accidents, and there was nothing accidental about this kitchen.
Every decision was considered. The client had been dreaming about her kitchen for years, and my role was to help turn that vision into reality.

So, instead of South London Serendipity, I chose South London Serenity.
Because the calm, balanced and timeless feel of this kitchen wasn’t discovered by chance. It was carefully designed, patiently refined and lovingly brought to life.

We researched many kitchen makers and were delighted that we found Joe and his very talented team at Joseph John & Co.. Who built and fitted this beautiful handmade Oak kitchen.
