Within a historic two-storey shophouse in the heart of Joo Chiat, Singapore, a new showroom for CASA brings together architecture, materials and products in a series of interconnected spaces.

Designed as more than a conventional showroom, the project introduces a contemporary architectural language while respecting the character of the existing building.

Behind a carefully preserved façade that honours the building’s architectural heritage, rhythmic timber arches, bespoke joinery and integrated lighting create a cohesive spatial experience. A distinctive floor, composed of reclaimed stone from CASA’s past projects, adds another layer to the story.
The result is a space where old and new come together, transforming the traditional showroom into an immersive architectural experience.

What if a showroom floor could tell the story of dozens of projects?

For years, CASA has supplied stone to homes, hotels and commercial projects across the region. Along the way, small remnants accumulated—pieces too beautiful to discard, yet too small for their original purpose.

For the new CASA showroom, these fragments are being given a second life.

Every stone piece in this floor once belonged to a different project supplied by CASA. Carefully recomposed into a bespoke pattern inspired by the rich colours, textures and character of Joo Chiat, the remnants come together to create something entirely new.

More than a design feature, the floor becomes a living catalogue of materials that have already found a place in buildings across the region.

What makes this particularly meaningful is that it doesn’t just talk about sustainability—it demonstrates it. By reimagining what already exists, waste becomes a resource and leftover pieces become one of the defining moments of the showroom.

Sometimes the most valuable materials are the ones we already have.

Construction starting soon in Cambodia.

For this compact stone showroom, the ambition was to work beyond the limits of the space.

The client introduced a clear vision: to scan large-format natural stone slabs at source, globally, and display them at full scale in-store — allowing each piece to be experienced in its entirety.

We designed the space around this idea.

Small physical samples anchor the experience in touch — weight, texture, temperature.
While the full-scale display reveals the material in all its depth, variation, and unpredictability.

A small footprint, carefully designed to hold something much larger.
