Supporting the community, on and off the course⛳️

Our Managing Director, Steve Stuart, had a great time at West Middlesex Golf Club as DED showed its support for the local community

For us, getting involved is about more than a day on the green. It’s another opportunity to support a community-led organisation and the people who bring it to life.

Our sign says it best:

Supporting the Community.

Proud to play our part.

What if your next locksmithing job could lead to more work?

A customer calls about a lock.

While you’re there, they mention they’d like staff to use a PIN instead of keys. Or they want to control access from their phone. Or they need an easier way to manage who can enter and when.

That doesn’t mean moving away from locksmithing.

It means adding another solution to what you already do.

That’s why we’re excited to share that Door Entry Direct is now a proud member of the Master Locksmiths Association MLA.

Locksmiths already understand doors, locks, security, and what customers need. Access control can be a natural next step, creating opportunities to:

→ Win more work
→ Increase the value of existing jobs
→ Create repeat business
→ Upsell additional solutions
→ Offer more to customers who already trust you

Sometimes the opportunity isn’t finding a new customer.

It’s being able to say “yes” to more of what your existing customers ask for.

We’re looking forward to supporting the MLA community and helping more locksmiths explore what access control could add to their business.

Access control shouldn’t make installs more complicated.

That’s the thinking behind the New Opyn Keypad by AES Global.

PIN. QR code. RFID/NFC.

Use it with the Opyn range or standalone, with cloud or offline operation depending on the site.

Up to 100,000 users, temporary credentials, IP65 weather protection, and IK08 vandal resistance.

One keypad. More ways to manage access.

New panel? Easy.

Full rewire through the building, monitors in every flat, and arranging access with residents? Not so much.

Thats where IP Door Entry Ltd comes in.

Now at DED, the range brings together IPGUARD, EASYCONNECT, BATICONNECT CLOUD, and IPNOTICEBOARD for visitor entry, access control, remote management, and resident communication.

And with IPGUARD, there’s no new door-entry cabling through the block and no monitors to install in the flats.

A power supply should tell you when something's wrong.

The RGL Electronics SMART-G3 does exactly that. The full LCD display monitors battery health, while three fault outputs cover mains fail, battery fail and output fail.

Grade 3, EN50131-6, up to 92% efficient, and it recharges an 18aH battery (min 10v) to 80% in 24 hours.

Now available on our site 😎

2026 is the year of smarter door entry installs.

UK sites like schools, multi-occupancy buildings, and commercial estates are pushing for longer cable runs without repeaters, signal loss, or extra costs.

Short-range PoE is creating more wiring, more time, and more headaches.

Enter the SRS Smart Unmanaged PoE Switch:

- 300 m extended range for stable long-distance performance.
- Self-healing watchdog auto-reboots unresponsive devices.
- Zero laptop config — DIP toggles for VLAN & extend mode
- Reliable power for IP video entry & multi-device setups.

Deeper runs, fewer issues, better margins.
