Breathing new life into a piece of Hampstead’s history.

We’re excited to be working on the transformation of the former policeman’s house on Rosslyn Hill — a much-loved heritage asset with a rich past and an exciting future. At Square Feet Architects we’re passionate about taking pre-loved buildings and carefully reimagining them, ensuring they provide for another hundred years (and more).

Sensitive restoration, thoughtful design, and a deep respect for the story already embedded in the fabric of the building. Watch this space as this historic home begins its next chapter.

In architecture, two extremes often dominate.
Some architects act as autocrats, imposing a singular vision that dictates how life must be lived. Others drift toward anarchy, rejecting structure altogether, leaving spaces without cohesion, calm, or grace.

At Square Feet Architects, we believe in a radical middle way.
A balance between order and freedom. Between framework and flexibility. Between vision and choice.

Homes should not control life, nor descend into chaos. They should hold it.
Places where light, nature and shelter coexist with art, beauty, warmth and comfort.
Vessels for family, nurture, change and everyday living.

Architecture, at its best, doesn’t dominate or disappear.
It supports life — quietly, thoughtfully, humanly.
