2026, so far

A brief look back at a year of steady growth for Studio80|six.

Notting Hill and Wimbledon Village have both reached completion this year.

14 planning approvals secured, alongside a number of new project appointments and continued delivery across our current site portfolio.

Our work has taken us beyond London this year, with projects underway in Guernsey, Cornwall and the Home Counties.

The team has grown to 8 and in July we relocated to a new office in South Kensington to support it, bringing us closer to a number of our live Prime Central London projects.

We also marked the year with our first Studio80|six Summer Soiree, welcoming over 150 guests, and with time spent at Ascot, the Wimbledon Championships and Henley alongside clients and collaborators.

And on a personal note, we also welcomed baby Felix to the family.

There's more in progress than we can share here. More to come before the year is out.

Sloane Square | The Section Tells the Story

From the street, little changes. The facade holds its scale and character exactly as it always has.

It's the section behind it that shows the real work. Rooflights and dormer windows bring natural light deep into the upper floors, supported by roof vents for ventilation. Below, a dedicated basement level provides amenity, storage and plant space.

Terraces are set back through the upper levels, improving daylight to the floors beneath while giving each level its own private outlook onto the garden.

Work on site continues to progress. Further updates to follow as the project develops.

Eighteen months ago, Studio80|six was an idea between two people.

Last week we marked that milestone with clients, contractors and friends who've supported the practice along the way.

Thank you to everyone who came to celebrate at our Summer Soirée, and to everyone who has trusted us with their projects so far.

This staircase runs from basement to second floor in a single sweeping curve, coordinated around a rear roofscape dormer that left no room for error.

Getting the geometry right meant resolving it digitally long before the first piece of timber was cut.

Design is the part people see. It's rarely the part that takes the longest.

Behind every finished room there's a site meeting, a structural fix nobody will ever notice, and a decision made on the fly to keep a project on track.

We stay close to the work at every stage: consultation, coordination, the problem solving that happens on site, and delivery through to completion.

First sketch to final fix. Every stage earns its place in the finished home.

Sloane Court West | Behind the brickwork

We are now a few weeks into site works at our Chelsea apartment project, and the space is starting to take shape.

Walls are being realigned, metal track systems are going in, and internal partitions are now forming the plan, principal bedroom, dressing room and en suite among them.

Getting materials in and out of a third-floor apartment brings its own logistics. Everything stripped from site is stored, then carried down through the communal areas under strict access arrangements.

More as the fit-out progresses.

Planning approval secured from Buckinghamshire Council.

A contemporary glazed extension to an existing boathouse on the River Thames, designed to open the space fully onto the water while sitting quietly alongside the original structure.

Full-height glazing throughout, with the existing roofline retained above.

Budget, programme and regulation are not limitations on design. They are design inputs.

In high-end residential work, the decision-making that shapes a project - structural approach, material selection, sequencing - happens long before anyone is on site. The question is whether design thinking is still present when those decisions get made, or whether it has already been handed off.

Our approach keeps the same logic running from initial concept through to construction. Cost and programme are considered from day one, not introduced as constraints once the design is set.

It tends to produce better outcomes. And fewer surprises.

Sloane Court West | A closer look at progress on site

A few weeks in, and this Chelsea Apartment Project has moved from strip-out to structure.

The apartment has been stripped back to brickwork and plasterwork throughout, and work has now moved on to realigning walls and installing metal track systems ahead of the substrate build-ups behind them. Internal partitions are going in too, starting to define the rooms within the plan, including the principal bedroom, dressing room and en suite, which are now set out and visible on site.

The kitchen has been fully stripped back, with the party wall to the rear now being lined ahead of the new layout going in. Levels and setting out are being checked continuously against the architectural and interior design drawings, to make sure everything on site matches what's been designed.

Working three floors up brings its own logistics. Every day, materials stripped from site are carefully stored, then carried down through the communal areas and out through the front door, in line with the access arrangements in place for the building.

More to come as the works progress.
