Scotland’s stout wars have officially begun 👀🍺
Tennent’s has launched a new 4% stout, taking aim at the drink that has dominated the category for generations.
The surprising bit is that stout is actually part of Tennent’s history. The Glasgow brewer says it was producing stout as far back as 1740, 19 years before Guinness was founded, and long before Tennent’s Lager arrived.
It marks a proper return to stout in Scottish pubs after years of Tennent’s stout being mainly brewed for export.
So… would you order one over a Guinness?
