ART DECO | 100 Years of Glamour, Geometry & Timeless Design.

Born in the Roaring Twenties, Art Deco celebrated a decade of extravagance, optimism, wealth and indulgence following the darkness of the First World War.

Influenced by the discovery of Tutankhamun’s tomb in 1922, ancient Egyptian motifs and the decorative arts of the Far East, the movement embraced bold geometry, symmetry, exotic materials and exceptional craftsmanship.

From sweeping architectural curves and dramatic staircases to rich marbles, exotic veneers, polished metals and sculptural lighting, Art Deco was a celebration of luxury and artistic expression.

A century later, its influence remains unmistakable. Contemporary interpretations may be more restrained, but the glamour, architectural elegance and appreciation of craftsmanship endure.
