Always a great feeling seeing a completed project come together, especially when you have a fantastic network of professionals working alongside you to bring a client’s vision to life.

This particular project was designed with accessibility at the forefront, with the window and door specification carefully considered to suit wheelchair users.

This included low thresholds, lowered handle positions and increased opening widths to make access and everyday use as easy as possible. We loved being involved from start to finish and are really pleased with the end result

A big mention to Unicorn Construction SW Ltd. and Morris Architectural Design Ltd - both were a pleasure to work alongside, with an excellent standard of finish on site and detailed, well-considered drawings that made the process straightforward from our side.

A great example of what can be achieved when everyone involved works together towards the same goal.

Incredible feedback from a local, award winning architect! Nathaniel gave up a few hours of his time today to meet and listen to what we do as a company. Be the next person to listen to what we can do!! Get in touch.

It was great to meet with the team at Southern Design Windows in Newton Abbot this morning, take a look around their showroom, learn more about what they do, and see first-hand where their aluminium and PVC window and door units are manufactured locally. 👏

Beyond the impressive products and facilities, it was brilliant to see the close-knit team and get a real feel for their shared, customer-focused approach, with a clear emphasis on quality and attention to detail. These are key values that align closely with our own, making it all the more exciting to build a relationship with a company that shares the same ethos.

A big thank you to Aaron, Adam, Alex, Joe and Callum for taking the time to show me around and talk me through everything. I was genuinely impressed with what I saw and look forward to introducing our clients and contractors to such an impressive local company as we move forward with future projects.

It’s always great to see quality, craftsmanship and a customer-first mindset right here on our doorstep! 🤝

A look back at one of our more unique projects 🤩

We were delighted to be trusted to supply and install Clement steel windows and doors as part of the redevelopment of Newton Abbot Market Hall.

The project is a great example of heritage architecture being carefully combined with modern design, retaining the character of the original building while creating a much more versatile space for the town.

The updated Market Hall now includes street food units, a bar, café, improved retail spaces and a flexible area for pop-up stalls, events and community use.

It was a fantastic project to be involved with, and we’re really pleased with how the steel windows and doors complement the original stonework and overall character of the building.

Busy couple of weeks for networking at Southern Design Windows Ltd. We are regular attendees of Link Up Torbay each week but have recently visited new groups Connect4 Business Club in Plymouth and The Collaborative Construction Collective Group (CCCG) at Dainton Park Golf Club. We then attended our first event from The Really Useful Network at Oldway Mansion in Paignton, where MW Benney kindly walked us around the site to show how it is being restored to its former beauty. Yesterday we had a drop in from the infamous John Harvey of The Samphire Club which for those that know John, will know what a treat that is! We have met many familiar faces during these events but also some new faces along the way. 👷🦺🏗️🪟

🚗➡️🪟 From the car game to the window game!

A huge congratulations to Joe Hern (on the right) for flying through his first 6-months!👏🎉

Being the brother of our Managing Director the expectations were high! Judging by the handshake, he’s officially passed the test! 🤝😂

Since joining, Joe has been delivering excellent results for both Southern Design Windows LTD and smartframesltd, providing great customer service while mastering product specs and estimating. 🤓

Six months down - well done, Joe! 👏🍾
