Some more photo's from our extension & renovation project in Edwalton. The two single storey wings define an informal courtyard and the slim framed sliding doors create views between the living spaces.

It's been great to revisit this extension and renovation project in Edwalton, completed last year.
The property had already undergone a number of substantial alterations, so our challenge was to build upon the existing additions and bring them together through a cohesive, holistic design.
It’s been particularly rewarding to revisit the project now that the landscaping has matured. The timber cladding has also weathered beautifully and evenly, helped by its SiOO:X coating, which has allowed the material to develop a natural, silvered finish over time.

Met up with the first of our Grand Designs leads… would you extend and renovate this bungalow or demolish and build a new house?

Our speculative development of three modest rural properties in North Nottinghamshire takes inspiration from the surrounding agricultural vernacular. Set around a central courtyard, the design maximises the development potential of the site, providing two detached 2 bed dwellings towards the front of the site and a generous 3 bed barn-like home towards the rear.
