⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Full marks — thank you, Connie!
The Platinum+ 4-camera system is our most capable package, and it's always great to hear from someone who's actually living with it and loving what it can do.
Full-colour footage at night is one of those things you have to see to believe. No grainy black and white — just a crystal-clear, full-colour image even in complete darkness. And the two-way audio means you can speak directly to anyone on your property from your phone, wherever you are.

📷 Thinking about grabbing a CCTV kit from Amazon?
Before you do — here's something most people don't know.
UK experts estimate that nearly half of all CCTV cameras in the country capture footage so poor it's worthless in court. A Home Office report found that over 80% of footage submitted to police can't be used for investigative purposes.
That £89.99 four-camera kit might look great on an app. But if it can't capture a recognisable face, doesn't work in the dark, and produces footage with no reliable timestamps — it hasn't made your home safer. It's just made it look like it has.
Here's what cheap CCTV typically gets wrong:
❌ Low resolution that can't identify a face or number plate
❌ Poor night vision — grainy black and white at best
❌ Cameras pointed in the wrong direction
❌ Footage that can't be used by police or in court
❌ Systems that can actually void your insurance claim
A professionally installed system isn't just about better cameras — it's about correct positioning, concealed cabling, accurate timestamps, documented installation, and footage that actually holds up when you need it.

💰 How much does a CCTV system actually cost in 2026?
It's the question everyone wants answered — but most installers won't give you a number until they've visited your property. And even then, the quote often comes with day rates, monitoring contracts, and hidden extras that quietly add up.
So we've done something different. We've published our full fixed-price package list online. Every tier. Every camera count. Every price. All fully installed. No surprises.
Here's a snapshot of what you're looking at:
🥉 Bronze 4-camera system — from £760 + VAT
🥇 Gold 4-camera system — from £1,080 + VAT
💎 Platinum 4-camera system (AI detection + audio) — from £1,208 + VAT
💎+ Platinum+ 4-camera system (4K + active deterrence) — from £1,436 + VAT
And every single package includes professional installation, full app setup, 3-year warranty, 1-year remote servicing, and — crucially — no ongoing contracts or monitoring fees.

🌟 10/10 across the board — we'll take that!
This one means a lot. The job ran over through no fault of our own — issues with the broadband provider that took time to track down and resolve. But we weren't going anywhere until it was sorted, and we weren't taking payment until it was right.
That's just how we operate. We quote a price, we stick to it, and we don't leave a job half-finished.
Thanks for the kind words — and for your patience on the day. 🙏

📷 Is your home CCTV system actually legal?
It's a question most homeowners have never thought to ask — but with 21 million CCTV cameras now operating across the UK, it's one that really matters.
The honest answer is: it depends on where your cameras are pointing.
Point them at your own property? You're covered under the domestic exemption and data protection law doesn't apply to you.
But the moment a camera strays onto a neighbour's driveway, a shared path, or the public pavement — even accidentally — UK GDPR kicks in, and you become legally responsible as a data controller.
And yes, that includes Ring doorbells. 🔔
In our latest guide we cover:
🔍 When home CCTV is exempt from data protection law
⚠️ The boundary problem that catches most homeowners out
📱 Why smart doorbells are a special case
📋 What your neighbours can legally demand from you
✅ How to make sure your system is fully compliant

There are an estimated 21 million CCTV cameras in the UK — and most of them are privately owned. Home CCTV has never been more popular, but there's a question many homeowners have never properly considered: is my system actually legal? The answer depends almost entirely on where your cameras are p...

🔒 Is your business properly protected once you lock up for the night?
Most break-ins happen between 6pm and 6am — when there's no staff present and no footfall to deter opportunists. For a lot of businesses, that's 14+ hours of vulnerability every single day.
In our latest guide, I've broken down the four layers of overnight security I recommend to every business owner I survey here in Peterborough:
✅ Security lighting
✅ CCTV
✅ Intruder alarm
✅ Access control
And — crucially — how they work together to create genuine, reliable protection rather than a false sense of it.

📱 Lifetime app access — watch your cameras from your phone, anywhere in the world. No subscription. No monthly fee. Ever.
📖 Full walkthrough before we leave — we don't hand you a manual and disappear. We sit with you and show you exactly how to use your system until you're confident.
🛠️ Remote support for the first year — if you have a question or something isn't working, we're on the end of the phone to help sort it remotely.
💷 No ongoing monitoring or maintenance fees — what you pay for the install is what you pay. Full stop.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Thank you, Enza — really glad we could help!
There's nothing more frustrating than a security system that's stopped working and you can't get back into. It happens more than people think — and it's exactly the kind of job we're happy to step in on, whether we installed the original system or not.
Getting someone back up and running, making sure they actually understand how to use what they've got, and pointing them towards the right products for their situation — that's just how we work.
If your existing system has stopped working, you've lost access, or you're just not sure it's doing what it should be — give us a call. We'll take a look.

🚨 Alarm or CCTV — which one do you actually need?
It's the question I get asked more than almost any other. And the honest answer might not be what you're expecting.
Here's the thing — they do completely different jobs:
🔔 An intruder alarm reacts. It detects a break-in and makes a lot of noise. Research shows 60% of burglars will walk away from a property just because they can see one.
📷 CCTV observes. It covers your driveway, gates, and perimeter. It records everything. And it means that if something does happen, the police actually have something to work with.
The problem? Each one has a blind spot the other fills perfectly.
An alarm with no cameras = a crime with no evidence.
Cameras with no alarm = nothing to stop the break-in happening.
One study found that combining both gives you up to 52 times more protection than having nothing at all. 🔒
We've written a full guide breaking it all down — what each system does, which to prioritise if budget is tight, and when you genuinely need both 👇

🎙️ Did you know your CCTV system could be doing a lot more?
Most people think CCTV is just about video — but modern cameras can also capture audio, and it makes a huge difference.
Here's what audio recording adds to your security:
🔍 Stronger evidence — Audio captures intent, voice identification, and conversations that video simply can't. A 2017 study found CCTV helped solve crimes in 65% of investigations — audio pushes that even further.
🔊 Active deterrence — Some systems let you issue a live voice warning to anyone on your property via your phone. Not waiting for a crime to happen. Stopping it.
🏢 Vital for businesses — Verbal threats, staff abuse, licensing disputes. Audio captures it all where video alone falls short.
⚖️ Is it legal? — Yes, when done correctly. We cover exactly what the law says and what you need to be compliant.
