For Clarkson Port Services at Aberdeen Harbour, we were asked to look at an underused open plan area and find a way to create additional office accommodation without the need for a major expansion.
The existing space already provided a large open plan working environment, but as the business grew, there was a need for dedicated team offices where contractors and project groups could work together, collaborate and deliver the business objectives effectively.
Our approach was to make better use of what was already there.
The existing meeting room was redesigned to create two new offices, including a dedicated office for the Managing Director. We then relocated the meeting room to the front of the development, creating a more appropriate space for visitors without requiring them to pass through the main working environment.
The result is a workplace that better reflects the way the business operates today, whilst providing the additional capacity needed for continued growth.
