One of our current projects is this 200-year-old house in the heart of Southsea. There isn’t an inch of this building that doesn’t need work, and the roof alone has been a huge job for everyone involved.
The roof has been:
Completely stripped
All rotten timber repaired
New felt and battens installed
The original tiles carefully put back on to retain the character of the building
Chimneys repointed
New leadwork and ridge tiles installed
We also designed and built a new dormer, which will eventually become part of the rooftop bar. I’m looking forward to designing that next stage and seeing how it all comes together.
