Here's what inside our replacement conservatory roofs...

They're built up in layers, starting with a timber frame and a glulam ringbeam light enough to sit on your existing frames.

A 15mm OSB or ply skin adds strength and rigidity, and 125mm multi foil honeycomb insulation does the heavy lifting on thermal performance.

Breather membrane and tile breather mesh keep water out and stop condensation building up, and the tiles can be chosen to blend in with your house.

We built this garden room with a flat roof and slatted timber-effect cladding, finished with anthracite grey bi-fold doors and wall lights either side. We deliver and install Solidor doors, made by a British manufacturer.

This stone-coloured door has a 44mm solid timber core, 48mm including the skin, and a five-chamber, lead-free outer frame with 100% recycled reinforcing, so it keeps the warmth in and gives you strong security.

This ceiling is actually a replacement roof we fitted it with two skylights to keep the room bright, and built-in spotlights for lighting in the evening.

The solid roof is warmer in winter and cooler in summer than the old glazed one, so the room works as living space all year round.

We replaced the old roof on this lean-to with a tiled roof. Compared with the roof it replaces, a tiled roof is warmer, more solid and suppresses noise better, so the room is more comfortable all year round. It sits above white uPVC windows and a side door, with white guttering and a low brick base.

This extension looks like traditional brick, but it’s a timber frame build.

Timber frame goes up faster than brick and block, and the thinner walls give you more internal floor space. The brick slips match the original house, with black guttering and a rooflight set into the tiled roof.
