🌿 GARDEN MAINTENANCE

A big thank you to everyone who recommended themselves, or recommended a local gardener or garden maintenance company, on our recent post. 👏

We’ve had a fantastic response, with lots of local businesses being recommended.

As mentioned on the original post, if you were recommended or recommended yourself and you’d like to receive potential enquiries through RCT Trade Finder, please make sure you complete the registration form on our website via the For Businesses section.

And if you’re a tradesperson or local business in any other trade who would like to get involved with RCT Trade Finder, you can register your business through the same form.

Please note: If you have commented on the post but haven’t completed the registration form, RCT Trade Finder will not contact you regarding potential enquiries. The form is how we register businesses with us.

Once you’ve completed the form, you won’t receive an email or message confirming your registration. If a suitable homeowner enquiry comes in for your trade and area, we’ll contact you directly.

So, if you’ve already registered and haven’t heard from us, there’s no need to register again — it simply means we haven’t had a suitable enquiry for your business yet.

🏡 RCT TRADE FINDER — A LITTLE MORE THAN JUST MAKING CONNECTIONS!

When we launched RCT Trade Finder three months ago, our main aim was simple: to connect homeowners across Rhondda Cynon Taf with reliable local tradespeople. That remains our main focus, and always will be.

However, over the last three months, we’ve noticed something else happening.

We’ve been receiving messages and phone calls from homeowners asking for advice on various aspects of home repairs and improvements, including quotes they’ve received from other builders and tradespeople that they’re unsure about.

As a result, we’ve decided that offering advice and helping homeowners where we can is something we’d also like to embrace.

We understand that home repairs can be expensive, and knowing what to do, who to trust, or whether to go ahead with a quote isn’t always straightforward.

So, if you’ve received a quote you’re unsure about, have questions about a repair, or simply need a bit of guidance, please feel free to get in touch. We’ll always do what we can to help point you in the right direction.

Of course, connecting homeowners with quality local tradespeople remains at the heart of what we do, but if we can help along the way, then that’s an added bonus! 👍

If you haven’t already, please give our page a follow and share it with friends and family across RCT.

👋 WHO’S BEHIND RCT TRADE FINDER?

I thought it was about time I introduced myself and explained a little about why I created RCT Trade Finder.

My name is Matthew, and I’ve spent over 20 years in the building trade here in South Wales, managing and carrying out building projects whilst maintaining the high standards that I believe customers deserve.

Having worked in the trade for so long, I understand the importance of finding reliable tradespeople and the frustration homeowners can face when trying to find the right people for the job.

That’s what inspired me to create RCT Trade Finder — a local platform designed to make life easier for homeowners while helping genuine local tradespeople connect with more customers.

We’re already receiving a steady flow of enquiries every week, just three months after launching, with jobs continuing to be carried out and completed, leaving customers satisfied with the service they’ve received.

🏡 Whether you’re looking to get work done around your home now, or have plans for a future project, give RCT Trade Finder a follow.

We’ll continue to share updates, showcase local tradespeople and keep you informed as the platform grows.

You might not need a tradesperson today, but when the time comes, we’ll be here to help you find the right people for the job and provide you with multiple quotes to choose from.

Get behind RCT Trade Finder. Let’s see how big we can make this! 👊

Thanks to everyone who’s supported us so far. There’s plenty more to come!

🔨 WE’RE LOOKING FOR MORE LOCAL TRADESPEOPLE

We’re continuing to grow our network of local tradespeople across Rhondda Cynon Taf.

We’re looking for established, reliable tradespeople across all areas of the building and home improvement industry.

We’re particularly interested in:

🔹 Builders who can take on a variety of different jobs
🔹 Tradespeople who are happy to take on smaller jobs and repairs
🔹 Tradespeople who may have availability for short-notice work

For example, smaller jobs could include:

🔹 Dripping taps
🔹 Leaky toilets
🔹 Resealing shower trays
🔹 Leaking radiator valves
🔹 Small plumbing repairs
🔹 Replacing tiles
🔹 Hanging doors and minor joinery
🔹 General property repairs

Sometimes a homeowner has a relatively small job that needs doing, but larger contractors simply don’t have the time or aren’t interested in taking it on.

Likewise, a homeowner may need a job completed quickly, and several suitable tradespeople may already be fully booked.

That’s why we’re building a strong network of local tradespeople — so when an enquiry comes in, we have the best possible chance of finding someone suitable and available.

We’re looking to build a network of reliable local businesses that we can confidently put forward when a homeowner needs work done.

If you’re a local tradesperson and you’d like to find out more about joining RCT Trade Finder, send us a message or register your interest through the website.

A little RCT Trade Finder story… 🧱

We were recently contacted by a local homeowner who needed some help getting a wall completed in her garden after having some problems with a previous contractor.

She had hoped to have the work completed before her newborn baby arrived at the end of July, but with the work still unfinished, she turned to us to help get it completed as soon as possible.

We recommended another local bricklayer who stepped in immediately, carried out the work and left the customer really happy with the result.

We’re really pleased we could help and that the customer was happy with the finished job. ❤️

Thank you Nathan James for stepping in at such short notice to help out 👍
