Hi, I'm Tom! Welcome to the Fretbuzz Workshed 🎸
Bespoke Guitar Luthier & Specialist Repair. Head Technician UK ~ HIWATT 🇬🇧

28/10/2026

Fender Ultra Luxe Vintage Telecaster getting some well needed Fretbuzz workbench therapy 🙌🎸🪛

26/10/2026

Fender American Pro II had the worst fretwork I've seen for a while! Dry fretboard, fret sprout - not good! I've levelled, crowned and dressed the frets, fretboard had hefty conditioning and is playing great 🎸🪛🤘

It was an absolute pleasure to donate a new Hiwatt amp to the team at Social eyes, The Church, Wath Upon Dearne, Rotherham S63 6RD

A fantastic community group, that is helping to make people's lives better through the gift of music 🤘

This 1975 Gibson Les Paul Pro Deluxe had a Stainless Steel Refret at the Fretbuzz Workshed 🙌🎸🪛

The machine heads were beyond repair and have been replaced for Guyker locking tuners. At some point in its life this was crudely routed for Humbuckers, there was also a slight hump in the fretboard which I have taken out when adding fall away. I mimicked the low and 'played in' feel of the original fretwork, but now with a nice crowned top! Playability is superb 🤘

Lots of fretwork jobs this week plus a handcrafted bone nut after a full service + setup on this amazing matching headstock Fender Strat! 🪛🎸🔥

20/10/2026

Fender 'Kurt Cobain' Jaguar arrived at the Workshed with some pretty rough QC from the factory. I've levelled the frets, rounded over the sharp fret ends. Fantastic pickup blend with the Dimarzio Super Distortion and 36th Anniversary PAF. 🎸🪛

13/10/2026

I've made a new bone saddle for this Fender Acoustasonic as the stock graphtec saddle seemed to have been milled wrong and was slightly over the correct scale length causing a continuously sharp G at the twelfth fret 🎸🪛

11/10/2026
