Another set of FD30 fire doors installed and signed off.

On this commercial stairwell we fitted a pair of solid oak veneer fire doors —

✅ FD30 rated with fire-rated glass vision panels
✅ Master & slave leaf with flush bolts & stainless kick plates
✅ Full oak lining & architraves fitted
✅ Dorma overhead door closers & stainless pull handles
✅ Blue fire door keep shut signage
✅ Fitted to comply with current fire regs

Both sides shown — clean finish, correct gaps, and all hardware set properly. They look smart, but more importantly they do the job if it matters most.

FOOTPATH RENEWAL COMPLETE ♿️

From uneven, loose stone to a smooth, safe, tarmac footway.

We were called to this sheltered housing scheme where the existing path had become a trip hazard. Here’s how we did it right:

✅ Old path excavated & levels reduced
✅ New timber shuttering set for a perfect straight line
✅ Type 1 sub-base installed & compacted
✅ 50mm+ tarmac laid, raked & rolled with roller + wacker
✅ Edges made good with topsoil for a tidy finish
✅ Fully barriered off and kept safe for residents throughout

Result — Two safe, non-slip, wheelchair-friendly paths that will last for years.

No shortcuts below ground. This is how we do drainage right.

On this job we installed a brand new drainage run to serve a new build / extension —

✅ 20m+ trench excavated and laser-lined for correct fall
✅ 110mm pipe laid on 100mm pea shingle bed & fully surrounded
✅ New inspection chambers installed at junctions
✅ New connections tied into existing system
✅ All laid to Building Regs spec — ready for inspection and backfill

You won’t see it once it’s covered, but it’s the most important part of the job. Done properly first time, with the right bedding and falls so it flows perfectly for years to come.

🏡 PROJECT COMPLETION

Another successful project completed this month — on time and on budget, with minimal variations and, most importantly, a very happy client.

The project involved the construction of a double side extension, creating:

* Two new bedrooms
* Two new en-suite bathrooms
* A new ground-floor boot room
* Associated structural, internal and finishing works

The transformation has made a huge difference to the property, providing the client with valuable additional living space while integrating the extension with the existing home.

The client is over the moon with the finished result, which is exactly what we aim for on every Ourspace project.
