This crabapple is spectacular at the moment - it is so laden with fruit as are both the (dogsbum) trees. Still loads of apples and pears too. I have finished clearing the raised beds in the vegetable garden and now I need to clear the path fully and then top up the beds with compost, leaf mould and seaweed before a thick layer of cardboard to try to help keep the bindweed at bay. It will look spectacular next year. So glad to be able to garden again after my knee replacements. Thank you to my surgeon Dan Williams at the Duchy who signed me off yesterday and assured me I was ‘ahead of the curve’ in my recovery. I’m so excited for the garden next year.
