I meant to do one of these in September. Then September happened 📦😁

We rented a house to shoot The Last Hour properly, made every candle, bottle and spray that goes in it, launched it on the 15th, brought the winter scents back with lava stone diffusers and room spray samples added this year, and somewhere in the middle I went to Istanbul for a few days and refused to think about any of it.

Now the dining room is boxes and December hasn’t even started.

A two-star review changed every product page on our site.

Our natural scents come in four main products, and each does a different job:

➡️A candle for warmth and scent.

➡️A reed diffuser to scent a room effortlessly.

➡️A room spray for a quick burst wherever you need it.

➡️A lava stone diffuser works close up, though good air flow will carry it further than you’d think.

None of them is better. It depends what you want from it.

We used to have a dining room 😅

Now it’s boxes, filling material, and whatever turns up every other day - all of it for November and December 🎄

Every year I think we’ll be more organised about it, and every year the dining room disappears under boxes by the end of October 📦

Busiest weeks of the year coming.

Everything still packed by us and by hand, so wish us some luck 🤭

The last hour of the day is the one I actually protect 🤍

Not the whole evening - just the bit at the end where the phone goes down, the bath goes on and nothing else is asked of me. It's the only part of the day that's properly mine 😇

We've spent months making something for exactly that hour. Coming soon!

The rule was that nothing in this box could add a step to your evening.

The last hour of the day isn't the moment to take on a new routine. So: a candle to light when the work's finished, a cleansing oil that does the job of a wash and a body oil in one, and a pillow spray for once you're already in bed.

Five hours of shooting and not once did we know whether it was working.

That's the part nobody mentions. You just keep going and hope. Then you sit down with all of it afterwards, quietly dreading that you'll have to do the entire thing again.

We didn't have to, as it turned out. One more hour going through it, and then a small celebration.

You'll see what it was all for on Saturday.

Not my finest bit of forecasting.

Back in August I opened a waitlist for these and made fifty. They were gone in two weeks - people were buying two and three at a time - and then we were out of stock for a month while I apologised in the DMs.

They're back now, and there are a lot more of them.

Volcanic rock, a few drops of essential oil, no flame, nothing to plug in. You buy the stones once and only ever replace the oil.
