NEW INSTALL UNDERWAY ⚡

Another project started for Coastal Electrical Gower, beginning with a new Navitas metal-clad consumer unit complete with individual RCBO protection and surge protection (SPD). 🔧

And that’s only the start of this one…

Over the course of the installation we’ll also be fitting:

⚡ Quinetic wireless receivers
🎛️ Quinetic wireless switches
🔥 Aico smoke alarms
☁️ Aico carbon monoxide alarms
💡 New lighting & accessories
🔌 New power points
🛡️ RCBO & surge protection throughout

Plenty of work ahead getting everything installed, wired, tested and commissioned.

We’ll be sharing the progress as this one comes together. 👀⚡

⚡ NEW CONSUMER UNIT INSTALL UNDERWAY ⚡

Just started another consumer unit upgrade today, this time installing a Navitas metal-clad consumer unit with individual RCBO protection and surge protection (SPD). 🔧

Out with the old and in with a much more modern setup:

⚡ Individual RCBO protection for each circuit
⚡ Type 2 surge protection
⚡ Metal-clad enclosure
⚡ Much neater, more organised installation
⚡ Improved protection for the property and its electrical equipment

Still a work in progress at the moment — plenty more wiring and tidying to do before testing and commissioning.

Finished pictures to follow! 👀⚡

Made a new friend on today’s job! 😂

One of the local chickens decided to come over and supervise the electrical work… so naturally I bribed my new apprentice with a bit of bread. 🍞🐔

Seemed happy enough with the payment terms, although productivity was questionable. 😂⚡

⚡ From terminal block nightmare to neat & tidy! 👌

Today we removed a rather questionable collection of terminal blocks and replaced the lot with a Quickwire 4-way splitter.

A much cleaner, neater and more professional solution, with all the connections properly contained and easily accessible for any future maintenance.

It’s the little details that make the difference. 🔧⚡

Today’s job for Coastal Electrical Gower 🔧

A nice selection of electrical upgrades completed today:

💨 New fan isolation point installed
💡 3 new LED spotlights fitted
📡 5 Quinetic wireless receivers installed
🎛️ 7 Quinetic wireless switches fitted

The Quinetic system is a brilliant solution where adding conventional switch wiring would mean chasing walls, damaging decoration or installing surface trunking.

The wireless switches require no batteries and no switch cables, communicating directly with the receivers – giving us loads of flexibility when upgrading an existing installation while keeping everything looking clean and tidy.

Another job completed with minimal disruption and no unnecessary damage to the customer’s home. 👌⚡

💡 Garden lighting project – Phase 2 complete! 🌿

We revisited this garden lighting installation that we completed last year to continue the project.

✅ 2 additional Fumagalli lights installed, with 2 more planned in the next phase.

While we were there, we found that unfortunately two of the original fittings had suffered water ingress and failed. We’ll be replacing those to get the whole system back to 100%.

Sometimes even quality outdoor fittings can develop faults, which is why we always stand by our work and make sure our customers are looked after.

More updates to come as this garden transformation continues!
