Why a wool rug?
Almost everything we make starts with wool, from our tweeds and throws to our rugs and carpets. Today, we’re focusing on our carpet rugs and why wool is such a wonderful, natural choice for the home.
1. Naturally insulating and Hydrophobic. Wool fibres trap air, helping keep your floors feeling warmer and your home cosy through the colder months. When liquid is spilled, it will naturally stay on the fabrics surface instead of absorbing, allowing your rug to stay cleaner for longer.
2. Helps soften sound. Wool rugs absorb sound and reduce the noise of footsteps, helping create a quieter, more comfortable space.
3. Made to last. Naturally resilient wool fibres spring back after being compressed, helping rugs maintain their shape and appearance over time.
4. Breathable and comfortable. Wool can absorb and release moisture from the surrounding air, helping create a comfortable indoor environment.
5. Naturally renewable. Sheep grow a new fleece each year, making wool a renewable natural fibre.
Almost everything we make starts with it: our carpets, tweeds, throws, bags and cushion pads.
Save this for when you're choosing a rug that will last a lifetime.
