My boy

NEW SIGNING ✍️

Market Drayton Town are delighted to announce the signing of Josh Beamond ahead of the 2026/27 season.

Josh arrives at the club with a wealth of experience, having represented a number of well-respected clubs throughout his career. From the moment discussions began, securing his signature was a priority, and we’re thrilled to welcome him to the club.

Josh began his footballing journey in the Stoke City F.C. academy, progressing through the ranks and representing the club at Under-18 level before gaining valuable senior experience with The New Saints F.C., Eccleshall F.C., Telford Town F.C., Whitchurch Alport F.C. and Shifnal Town F.C..

Everyone at Market Drayton Town is delighted to welcome Josh to the club, and we look forward to seeing him in action throughout the 2026/27 campaign.

🔴Managers Comments🔴
“I’ve known Josh personally for a number of years now. I first met him when he was a young player at Stoke, and I’ve always kept in touch and followed his progress throughout his footballing career.

When I came into the club, Josh was one of the first players I wanted to get signed because I know the quality and ability he has. He’s played at a really high level and comes to us from Step 4 side Shifnal, bringing valuable experience and a real hunger to do well.

Josh is a player with huge ability, and if we can get him firing and playing with confidence, I genuinely believe there won’t be many defences in this league that can stop him. I’m really confident Josh is going to be a top, top player for us this season and I’m excited to see the impact he can have.”

Josh is available for sponsorship for the 26/27 season
