This year I’m doing it a little differently, offering an online space for those of you that want to join but find yourselves in other corners of the world away from my studio in Cornwall.

I have so many words but also so few to describe this feeling. The last batch of Hot Water Bottle has been collected by courier today.

I’ve been fortunate enough to see some of you open it, some of you have sent me photos as it’s arrived with excited faces and hands grasping at the edges.

I cannot wait to see how Hot Water Bottle fits within your worlds. Please do show me. It means more than words could ever say.

Thank you for so much love and support with my first ever publication, it’s been genuinely life changing.

One copy is up for grabs 🌝✨💙
Only 143 copies of Hot Water Bottle exist, and they’re now finding their way to 22 countries around the world. This first edition won’t be printed again but one final copy has unexpectedly become available, and rather than quietly putting it back on my website, I want to do something a little more special with it.

Instagram has brought so many of you into my world lately, but some of my favourite moments happen somewhere slower, away from the scrolling and the algorithm.

In my newsletter, I get to actually write to you. I share the behind-the-scenes bits, the unfinished thoughts, the art, the adventures, the things I’m making, and the words that don’t always belong on a grid.

So I’d love to use this final copy to bring a few more of you into that quieter little corner with me.

A heartfelt confession… Something I’ve dreamt of for over 20 years has just happened. And I know, from the outside, it probably looks like a pile of pink envelopes.
But this is one of those moments where the thing itself is small and what it represents is enormous.
I cannot tell you how many times over the last two decades I have tried to create something that felt like this.
A community built around creativity. Words. Sensitivity. Emotion. The kind of people who feel deeply and want somewhere to put all of that.
I have tried so many versions of it.
Some worked for a while. Some didn’t work at all. Some cost me money. Some cost me time. Some made me question myself. Some made me pivot completely. Some probably asked more of me than I should have given.
And still, I kept coming back to the same belief:
that people are craving real connection.
That we need more spaces where we can be soft, thoughtful, creative, honest, a little sentimental, a little messy, and still feel understood.
I think when people see the bit that finally works, it can look very neat.
They see the books. The letters. The sold-out things. The nice photos.
They don’t see the ten versions before it.
The ideas that went nowhere.
The things that quietly failed.
The money spent learning what not to do.
The friendships and relationships that sometimes had to compete with how relentlessly I threw myself into building something I believed in.
The tiny sacrifices that don’t look dramatic enough to mention, but add up over twenty years.
So yes, the poet in me is absolutely going to romanticise a pile of envelopes.
Because today I sent letters out into the world to people in different countries who have chosen to receive my words slowly, physically, through their letterboxes.
And that blows my mind.
Not because it’s huge.
But because it feels like the beginning of the thing I’ve been trying to build for most of my life.
A small community of people who care about words, creativity, feeling, and human connection.
To anyone looking at the thing they want and thinking it’s taking too long:
please remember you are often seeing someone else’s version ten.
This is mine.
And I’m so glad I kept going.

I’ve cried a lot of happy tears today.
From artwork on my easel, to words shaped over the last two years. Hot Water Bottle is a published book that is now going to be sent to the 143 people, across 22 countries, who believed in me enough to back it.

You’re all incredible, I can’t wait for this to land in your hands 💙✨
