Bolivian Bumpy – What a Colour Show! 😍🔥

Just look at the colours on this beauty! 🎨🌶️

From gorgeous deep purples and vibrant pinks through to peachy orange, all on one plant! And those unusual, bumpy pods make it even more interesting! 😍

A cross between Yellow Bumpy × Bolivian Rainbow, this stunning, bushy variety isn’t just about looks! The pods pack a punch at around 150,000 SHU 🔥 with a lovely subtle citrus flavour.

Growing to around 1 metre tall in a pot, and potentially even bigger in the ground, it’s a real showstopper when loaded with colourful chillies! 🌈

Definitely one of those plants that makes you stop and admire it! 💜🧡

Behind the scenes at Red Dragon Seeds!

Ever wondered what goes into producing our chilli seeds? 👀

Here’s a little glimpse of what we’ve been up to lately! Thousands of freshly harvested chillies, hundreds of plants, and a LOT more still waiting to be picked! 🌶️🔥

Come rain or shine, our hardworking team are out there getting the harvest in! 🌧️💪

And the work doesn’t stop once they’re picked… there’s seed extraction, cleaning, drying, and of course, mountains of leftover chilli waste heading for our ever-growing compost heap! ♻️🌱

It’s messy, it’s muddy, it’s hard work… but we absolutely love it! ❤️

From our plants to your seed packets, there’s a whole lot happening behind the scenes! 🐉

🌶️🇲🇽 Habanero Orange (Naranja) – The Real Deal, Straight from Mexico! 🔥

Now THIS is what a proper Habanero should look like! 😍

Our original seeds came from our good friend Luis in Mexico, so these are the real deal – authentic Mexican Habaneros, producing masses of beautiful, fiery orange pods!

The classic Habanero is famous for its intense heat, wonderful fruity aroma and distinctive flavour. There’s a reason it’s one of the world’s best-loved hot chillies! 🔥

And just look how well they’re still performing here in the UK!

We’re now well into October, yet these plants are still going strong, absolutely loaded with gorgeous orange chillies. A fantastic demonstration of just how productive Habaneros can be, even in our rather less-than-Mexican climate! 😂

A little taste of Mexico thriving here in Britain! 🌱🌶️

Jalapeño Deadpool is a Capsicum annuum Jalapeño-type originally associated with Joker Chili, and it’s a seriously striking variety.

The pods start an incredibly deep purple-black, often looking almost completely black, before gradually developing bronze and red tones and finally ripening to a brilliant bright red.

The plant itself is just as impressive, with dark purple foliage, black stems and purple veining through the leaves. Even before the pods begin to ripen, it has a very dramatic ornamental look.

Our plants grow into large, vigorous plants, reaching around 5 ft, and produce some seriously impressive Jalapeño-shaped fruits.

The colour progression is one of the best parts:
Black / Purple → Bronze / Red → Bright Red
Heat-wise, Deadpool is a little hotter than a standard Jalapeño, while still keeping that familiar Jalapeño shape and character.

Definitely one for growers who like something a bit different — dark foliage, black stems, purple veins and almost-black pods all on the same plant. 🖤❤️

Would you grow a Jalapeño like this?

🌿🌶️ Indonesian Variegated × Sweet Sunshine — a little plant with plenty of character!

Another beautiful chilli created by Agus Bangkat Widagdo ( ) from Indonesia, who we call the Wizard of Crosses! 🧙‍♂️✨

With beautifully variegated foliage and bright yellow-to-orange striped pods, this compact chilli brings colour to your pots as well as your plate. 💛🧡

The peppers have a sweet, fruity flavour with a gentle kick — lovely for fresh salads, colourful salsas or a homemade mild chilli sauce.

Would you grow this one for the foliage, the fruits… or both? 😍

🌶️ F6 Bleeding Rawit White × Maya Purple Passion 🌶️
Another cracking cross from our good friend Agus Bangkat Widagdo ( ) in Indonesia — AKA “The Wizard of Crosses” 🧙‍♂️🌶️

These little pods have a beautiful colour progression, starting creamy white, developing a purple blush, before finally ripening to a gorgeous soft peach colour. 😍

The plant itself stays small, compact and very bushy, but absolutely covers itself in upright pods. We reckon a group of these planted together would look spectacular, almost like a mass of ornamental chilli plants, but with plenty of pods to harvest too.

Currently at F6, so getting nicely down the generations now.

White ➜ Purple Blush ➜ Peach 🍑
