We are absolutely delighted to share that Spadework has been awarded Silver for Kent Casual Food & Drink Experience of the Year at the Taste of Kent Awards 2026! 🏆✨

To be recognised alongside so many wonderful cafés, restaurants and food and drink experiences across Kent is a fantastic achievement, and one that means so much to us.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who took the time to nominate Spadework for this award. Knowing that members of the public thought of us and put us forward for this recognition is incredibly special, and we are truly grateful.

To everyone who visits our Café, Garden Centre, Farm Shop and the rest of Spadework, thank you. Whether you're a regular visitor or have only recently discovered us, your support means more than you might realise. Every visit, every purchase and every recommendation helps us continue our work as a charity, creating opportunities, connections and a sense of belonging for the people we support.

A very special thank you must also go to our incredible beneficiaries, staff and volunteers. Your hard work, dedication and enthusiasm help make Spadework the welcoming and special place it is. This award is a reflection of everything you do, and we couldn't be prouder of our wonderful team!

We are so fortunate to have such a supportive community around us, and this award is a lovely reminder of just how much that support means.

We're thrilled to receive this recognition and would like to congratulate all the other finalists and winners!🎉

Our Trainees have been busy preparing another fantastic lunchtime selection for our Trainees, Staff and Volunteers to enjoy, and judging by how quickly everything disappeared, it certainly went down a treat! 🥗🍕

Today's menu included beautifully fresh salads, homemade cakes, pizza slices and tasty burgers, with almost everything selling out by the end of lunchtime!

From preparing the food to serving everyone at the Tuck Shop, it's a brilliant opportunity for our Trainees to put their cooking, customer service and life skills into practice.

A huge well done to everyone involved in another busy (and very tasty!) Tuck Shop! 💚
