😂 My camera feed has officially given up on showing me anything interesting!

All I get is chimney sweep pictures, soot, stoves and chimneys. 🤦‍♂️

Apparently, the algorithm thinks my entire personality revolves around sticking rods up chimneys and getting covered in black stuff! 😂

No holidays, no funny videos, no normal people doing normal things. Just soot, stoves and more bloody chimneys! 🧹

I AM a chimney sweep, not a chimney! 😂

Anyway, if you need your chimney swept, at least I know the algorithm is keeping me busy!

It’s that time of year again, and things are getting busy!

If you’ve tried calling me and I haven’t answered, please don’t think I’m ignoring you. I’m usually up a roof, sweeping a chimney or working in some of Essex’s more rural areas where there’s little or no phone signal.

I’ll always do my best to call you back as soon as I can. If I can’t get through because of poor signal, I’ll send you a text instead.

Just look how close this wooden mantle is... (and burnt)

All combustibles need to be atleast 3 times the diameter away - so if you have a 5 inch vitreous pipe (the black tube thing coming out of your stove) then everything that can catch fire needs to be at least 15 inches away - A large dinner plate is usually 11–12 inches across, so 15 inches is noticeably bigger -

Go and check yours now!

This stove also had no liner - thats no problem at all, but there needs to be an access hatch to remove all the soot once its swept out of the chimney.

Another reason to get your stove checked yearly 🙌 New residents of this property and wanted me to check over the stove, as I was sweeping it through the stove I noticed the gasket around the inspection hatch had failed.

Its amazing what comes out of a chimney when swept properly.

100 years this has potentially been stuck somewhere in a "Big" chimney (and I mean big) - possibly dropped out of the pockets of a young child whilst sweeping at the chimney.

The weather is changing, and the phone hasn't stopped ringing today!

As the nights get colder, more people are getting their wood burners and open fires ready for the season.

I've been working in an area with terrible phone signal today, so answering calls hasn't been easy. I'm now trying to catch up with everyone by text while still out sweeping chimneys!

Please bear with me. I'm doing my best to answer calls, reply to texts and keep on top of my bookings while getting through the day's sweeps.
