Salon d’É Thé

Did you know tea is the second most consumed beverage in the world after water so what a setting to enjoy a cup!

At the heart of the design were 75 bespoke handcrafted fresco panels. Manufactured using a specialist plaster mixture incorporating Carrara marble and Roman travertine on which the masterpieces of Italian art history have been carved.

The colour “Whirlybird” is a nod to nature. It evokes the playful memory of children and young gardeners tossing maple keys and sycamore seeds into the air to watch them spin. As a slightly softer, lighter sibling to Breakfast Room Green, it features a balanced, rich pigment profile that responds dynamically to changing natural light throughout the day.

The Gatehouse interior..

Oh La La or Oh Na Na?

We think it’s a stunning, contemporary modern take on a neglected 400 year old building. Always a joy…

OH LA LA! The Gatehouse, now known as Granny’s House.

Back to its former glory…. or better than it’s ever been?

I personally think the latter; charming, quaint and charismatic, everything you’d expect from a building standing at the gates to a castle.
