Would you risk a life to save a few quid?

We wouldn’t. We were recently called out to remove this multi-stem Ash tree in Marford, which was completely riddled with Stage 4 Ash Dieback.Before we arrived, the client was told by another company that they would "just send a climber up it.

"Let’s be entirely honest about what that means: At Stage 4, Ash wood becomes incredibly brittle and structurally dead. Climbing it isn't just reckless; it's a direct violation of HSE regulations. If a climber goes up a tree like that and it fails, the company director faces serious criminal charges.

Yes, putting a young lad in a rope and harness is the cheaper way to quote a job. But we refuse to gamble with human lives to win a contract.

How we did it instead:⚙️ Zero-Climb Mechanics: We brought in our MEWP (cherry picker) to keep our team safe and elevated.🏗️ Heavy Machinery: Utilised our 8-tonne excavator equipped with a grapple saw to mechanically dismantle the tree.🏡 Tight Space, No Mess: Safely extracted and removed all timber off-site out of a confined rear garden with absolutely minimal fuss.
