A home gym, built entirely in oak!

This one's an entire oak building instead, panelled inside for a barn-like feel, with hand-cut slate on the roof, French doors bringing in more daylight than the average gym sees.

We can't promise you'll want to work out more. We can promise you'll want to be in the building more!

What an incredible project!

This is a beautiful 3-bay oak carport built for the owners of Peak Edge Lodge Hotel.

Open-fronted and open-ended, with reclaimed tiles and slates to match the existing buildings on the grounds.

The family, who we'd already worked with on The Oak Room at Peak Edge Hotel, have since used it as an entertainment space.

Not bad for something that started life as somewhere to park!

Same house. Same room. Just one very obvious difference....

Swap a plain ceiling for exposed oak trusses and the whole space changes: more character, more depth, a room that looks much more homely.

We may be biased, but why would you ever want the second version?

Cosy season is here!

Nights are drawing in, the heating's back on, and there's no better spot for it than an oak sunroom or extension.

Picture this. Rain on the glass, the fire on, the room still feeling so warm and cosy long after the light's gone outside. That's the difference an oak sunroom makes once the clocks go back.

If you can imagine it, make it a reality: https://oakbydesign.co.uk/contact-us/

From canopies to sunrooms... we do it all!

Some projects are small, a single addition that changes how your home feels the moment you walk in. Others are much bigger, reshaping how an entire part of the house gets used.

We build across that whole range, and we put the same care into every one of them.

Take a look at the possibilities on our website: https://oakbydesign.co.uk/products/

An 11/10 from our toughest reviewer yet! 👏

This oak-framed gym in York combines hand-cut slate and oak panelling with French doors that open the whole space up to the beautiful view outside.

If we're honest, we'd spend more time admiring the oak than actually using the equipment...

Every step you take... will be on oak that's bespoke-built and designed to outlast the carpet trends of the last three decades.

Every oak staircase is designed just for your home.
Before we build anything, we create a full 3D drawing so you can see exactly what you're getting, right down to the shape of the handrail and posts.

Completely bespoke and handmade in Yorkshire.

Yesterday, we were very kindly invited to Harrogate FC to meet the team and watch them train, as proud sponsors of the club.

It was an awesome day, great to meet everyone, and we couldn't have asked for better weather!

Always an honour to be part of the club as sponsors.

Best of luck to the team for their upcoming matches 👏

Do you remember... life before an oak porch?

Neither do we. Because once you have one, you'll never look back.

It's one of the smallest things we build and one of the ones that makes the biggest difference, framing the front door properly and giving a house the entrance it deserves.

Something worth appreciating all year round... not just on the 21st of September. Get in touch today: https://oakbydesign.co.uk/case-studies/?_project_types=porches

Did you know we also do beautiful oak flooring?

Here's the bit most people don't know: it's not solid oak; it's engineered. Real oak on top, a stable base underneath, built specifically so it doesn't shrink or warp when the temperature changes.

It's also fully compatible with underfloor heating. That means as we go into the cooler months, your floor stays nice and toasty!

Every floor is made to measure, hand-finished, and available in four textures and a full range of colours.
