Our Grace is from Zimbabwe. Grace was with Naas Country market and then (fortunately to us and unfortunately for Naas), moved to Dublin.

Grace joined Raheny Country market earlier this year - but we feel she’s with us forever. Extremely talented, and super-productive, Grace is unmatched in macrame and certain cooking. This summer Grace learned to crochet from our crochet master Marfa - and already produced dozens of beautiful and colourful things.

Grace loves to try new things - and loves to introduce us all to something really different. On Thursday market Grace is bringing a baobab drink - a unique chance to try one of African traditions in Raheny!

We have very dear recent friends of the market - Howth Chamber Orchestra and Setanta Strings.
Their musical director is Jessica Ziegler Jessica Ziegler. You might remember them from our birthday celebrations in September and couple of occasions before that!

Setanta Strings rehearses in Ballymun as part of Dublin CDETB. Howth Chamber Orchestra is playing in Howth and around since it was founded in 2012.

Jessica and musicians from both of these groups will be playing at our special market at Marino on 15th November. Drop in to listen the them - they play beautifully, and their selection of music is usually very special!

After you listen to them maybe you’ll want to join? Both are always accepting new members!
You can contact Jessica at 0876087062 or, or email them to

We are doing something different and something very new. First time in Marino - Raheny Country Market “Special” Christmas Fair.

Marino Residents Association kindly let us use their Carleton Hall on Sunday 15th November. Howth Chamber Orchestra (we’ll be writing about them!) and Setanta Strings agreed to play live music at our fair, and our dear ladies (and couple of additional “pop up” members”) are getting ready with our best Christmas selection.

So - our first external Christmas market is on! Please pop in for a browse and let your friends know - it’s our first time in Marino and we really hope it to be a success, to be able to do it in future too!

Please share our poster far and wide! Thank you thank you!

It’s been a while since we got a new member, apparently we were waiting for Martina! You probably saw Martina at our market few times - that was a “pop-up stall”. Now Martina is our permanent member - looks like she is happy to deal with us longer term, including all our diverse backgrounds :)

Martina is an artist. She says that her main aim is to add beauty to the world using just three primary colours with white, and nothing else. And she certainly does that, adding beauty! We feel it does add something to our market too. Some new point of view, even more beauty and colours - a new angle to what we do, and we love that!

Very welcome Martina, we are sure our customers will start appreciating you as much as we do!

There is no market tomorrow 22nd October. Next market is on Thursday 5th November! (it's 1st and 3rd Thursdays of the months in October, as usual)

We'll be publishing our Christmas time table in the next few days - keep an eye on this page. We're doing something old and something new - we are taking part in something wonderful locally, and are organising a local fair! We will also step up our own market days in November - December.

See you in couple of weeks, and then - probably many times during the Christmas markets!

Some of our members are locally born and bred. Some come from very different places - like Brazil, Russia or Zimbabwe, but very local too now. We blend in and create something quite unique together!

Jelena is from Bosnia. Talented and energetic, Jelena applies herself to herbal science and making jams, cordials and vinegars. Jelena bakes and does multiple crafts from crochet to candles!

Now Jelena is in full production for Christmas markets (we’ll surprise you with our own Christmas time-table very soon).

That's Jelena last year at Raheny Christmas Lights Fair. Some of her recent produce - Christmas cranberry apple chutney, tomato chutney, citrus marmalade, raspberry vinegar and rosehip apple jelly!
Lots more coming up very soon - check us out at our next markets in November and December!

We’re busy preparing for our next market this Thursday 15th October.

We won’t show our produce yet - much of it hasn’t baked yet :) We’ll show you the stunning garden of our Heather. Apples, courgettes, rhubarb, late carrots, and stunning flowers. We love to sit with our Heather at her conservatory with a cuppa and just look at her garden….
