Remembering Cyril ❤️
It is with great sadness that we share the news of the sudden passing of our dear friend and former colleague, Cyril Doyle.
For over 40 years, Cyril was at the heart of Irish Building Supply, managing our Dún Laoghaire store and becoming one of the most familiar and respected faces in the building trade.
To so many customers, suppliers and colleagues over the years, Cyril was Irish Building Supply. He was a huge part of the business, and his dedication, knowledge and unique personality left a lasting impression on everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him.
And, of course, there was that unmistakable voice — you could always hear Cyril long before you could see him!
Although he retired around eight years ago, Cyril was never really far away. He continued to visit us regularly in Dún Laoghaire, always stopping for a chat and a catch-up. We loved seeing him, and those visits were always a welcome reminder of the many wonderful years he spent with us.
Cyril was more than a former colleague. He was a much-loved friend and a very special part of the Irish Building Supply family. His contribution to our business over four decades was immeasurable, and he will always have a place in its history and in our hearts.
Our thoughts and deepest sympathies are with Cyril's children, grandchildren, sister and all his family and friends at this very sad time.
Rest in peace, Cyril. You will be very fondly remembered and greatly missed by us all. ❤️
