Every fold in this shade was made by hand, and no two come out quite alike. We like that about it. Light moves through the paper differently each time, so each one glows in its own way.

Seeing one switched on in a quiet room is still our favourite part of the work. After weeks of folding and fitting, it finally starts doing what it was made for.

Coffee in the morning, when the light comes in soft and nobody is in a hurry.

There’s a particular kind of evening that only happens around a table — mismatched w**e glasses, someone standing up mid-sentence for more bread, laughter spilling into the kitchen. Nobody’s watching the time.

Celeste holds that evening without trying to steal it. Marble catches the candlelight, acacia warms it back down, and the table settles into the noise like it was built for exactly this.
