FUSION | Bedrooms, Sharma Villa

Bedrooms designed around the people who use them.

For a joint family, the brief was never about repeating the same bedroom in different finishes. Each room was customised around its user, age, needs and everyday routine.

there are two bedrooms shown, in one bedroom, a king-size bed is paired with a single bed for the child, allowing the room to accommodate two generations within one composition. Other bedroom is designed for a grown up kid who is studying in other city currently.

Custom furniture, integrated storage, warm timber tones, upholstered elements and layered lighting create a comfortable yet refined character, while maintaining the overall material language of the residence.

The approach was simple: every room should feel personal, while still belonging to the same home.

FUSION | Kitchen, Sharma Villa

A kitchen designed around the everyday dynamics of a joint family.

Every element was customised according to its use. The planning allows 3–4 people to work together comfortably, while the T-shaped island works simultaneously as a preparation counter and breakfast table.

A warm and pastel colour palette, quartz worktops and custom-made cabinetry give the kitchen a soft contemporary character.

The adjoining C-shaped, Indian-style low-rise dining creates a more informal family setting, oriented towards the kitchen. A dedicated crockery corner and a separate handwash zone complete the planning.

The kitchen was executed by Makwana, Mumbai, with each component considered as part of the larger family-oriented spatial planning.

A double-height family living space designed for a joint family, bringing together contemporary planning and traditional Indian character.

The living area is connected to the pooja space and the four bedrooms above through the internal family staircase, creating visual continuity across the duplex. Teak wood cladding at the sloped roof, crafted doors, custom furniture and layered lighting add warmth and detail to the space.

The material palette combines wood, marble and travertine wall cladding, selected for their visual richness and their response to the hot and dry climate of Vidarbha, helping delay heat conduction.

The north-facing living area also benefits from openings along the north and east facade bringing natural daylight into the interiors.

The sofa colour was selected by the client based on his Vastu calculations, adding a personal layer to the design. The pooja space is generously planned to accommodate the family’s daily rituals and spiritual practices, particularly those of an Astro-Vastu consultant’s household.
