RIG002 Priest Home, a retirement residence designed by Architecture Rig.

The project is envisioned as a retirement residence for ten priests. The architectural language of the proposed residence is intentionally simple and restrained, defined by clear forms and minimal elements.

Approaching the building from the south, a huge vertical facade creates an iconic entrance. A secondary wall runs parallel to the facade, shielding the interiors from direct sunlight while modulating daylight through carefully positioned vertical slits.

RIG 001 Manimala Residence
Manimala residence is named after its suburban location. Residences and lush green rubber plantations define its surroundings.

Rooted in its context, the residence presents a composed outward presence and a strong architectural identity, while the entire home opens inward.

The rhythm of geometric shapes curates the spaces. A layer of transparent walls enhances ventilation throughout the house while also creating a subtle separation between the inside and the outside.
