I had never styled an Onam table before, but I’ve always been fascinated by the beauty of banana leaves in decor — their colour, texture and the quiet connection to nature.
So when I received a call from Isha, I simply felt like doing it.
Every Onam circles back to the table — banana leaves laid out, brass catching the afternoon light, and flowers resting in little votives. The feast is abundant and steeped in ritual, celebrating the harvest and the legendary homecoming of King Mahabali.
For me, styling this table was a way of bringing those stories together — through greens, brass, flowers and the beautiful simplicity of the banana leaf.
A table that speaks of Kerala’s enduring culture, gratitude and, above all, togetherness.
Happy Onam 🌿✨
